Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – You’ve probably heard about it right? What you may not know is that this is the single, most important factor to being found on the internet and small businesses aren’t even investing anywhere near enough time or resources into it.

You may have the world’s greatest website with great tools, features and content, but if nobody can see it or find it – What’s the point?

These are the websites that appear “organically or naturally” in search engine results. They appear for FREE. No paid advertising, Adwords, Pay-per-click.

Studies indicate that on the first page of Google results, the first 5 results account for 67.6% of all clicks, and the results from 6 to 10 on 3.7% – Leaving about 25% of clicks to pages 2 and 3, or paid ads.

This basically means that if your business or service isn’t ranking as high as possible on Google “organically” – You’re missing out big time. It makes perfect sense because people these days do a Google search for a service or a problem they may have for example, and won’t scroll past the first few results or the first page because we trust what Google is showing us.

Ranking organically takes time and effort. SEO techniques can be complex, such as creating accurate citations, having an SSL website, keyword rich content creation, upgrading an out dated website or optimizing Google Maps.
